Saturday we had a great day in Rocton at the Waterdown Swap Meet.
I think that there were more vendors than I have ever seen there before and the buyer traffic was good and steady. I barely had time to pick up a couple of things we needed and did not get a chance to look at all the show cars. still have that cowl hood though. The truck and trailer are loaded and we will be in Rocton bright and early. It looks like great weather . We are bringing our SALE TABLE with some great deals on discontinued or oops items. I have also put some nice used parts in the trailer and we will have our usual new parts. We recently came across some nice used 69-72 Nova parts that we are bringing along. Hope to see you there. Dave.
The first fall swap meet in Sparta at the race track was today.
Great venue, beautiful drive, looks like this has the potential to be a great swap meet. It was good to see all of our regular customers and nice to meet some new ones too. even sold some stuff too - bought some too. any one need a fiberglass cowl hood for a 68-72 Nova? Dave. Old Autos Bothwell swap meet is over. it was great to see everyone. thanks for sharing the pictures of your projects, cell phones have sure changed the way we look at pictures. We trailered our 47 Chev up to the car coral in hopes we could find it a new owner.. No such luck... yet. If anyone knows someone looking for a good project have them take a look at it - I would appreciate it - I have another project in mind.
Parts sales were good - we will try to restock the popular stuff before Heritage Village. See you there. Dave. Twas the night before Bothwell and all in the house
were pretty tired from loading the trucks and trailer for the big swap. We are ready to go bright and early tomorrow. We'll see you at I4 or maybe we'll see you as we stroll around looking for the parts we need to finish our projects. Stop by and say Hi. Dave. Old Auto's Bothwell swap meet is fast approaching. Friday August 8 and Saturday August 9 We are gathering up the parts people have ordered and sorting out the parts we hope someone will be looking for. We are looking forward to seeing all our friends and customers. We will at I4 as usual . If there is anything you want us to bring send an email or give us a call. Stop by for a visit. See you there.
So yesterday, despite some complications and deviating from our plan on multiple occasions, we had a wonderful day in Paris, Ontario. The sun was shining and the Paris Fairgrounds were packed for the 9th Annual Paris Unfinished Nationals. With more cars than we've ever seen since we've been going to this amazing show, the day was unforgettable. The swap meet was also packed full to the brim with vendors selling all those missing little pieces for your project car. With over 400 cars registered, we were sad to say that none of them were our own, but glad to see such an amazing turn out. At the start of last week, we were planning on having three vehicles there, two of which would have been registered, but plans often change and we were down to only the 67 Pick Up by the time we got there: the 69 Acadian wasn't quite up to that long a trip; and Andrew's 64 Truck couldn't quite make it this year, missing for the first time since it's been on the road. Despite all that, the day was a lot of fun, with the weather holding up perfectly for such an occasion. Be sure to click the pictures below and tell us if you can find your car in the seemingly never ending expanse of really cool vehicles.
Holley I am starting to try to figure out what to take to Paris Unfinished Nationals next Sunday June 1st. I know what ever I consider and don't take is the first thing someone will ask me for so I always overthink my selections. Anyway we have 2 tables booked inside and I am hoping to take some cool used stuff for outside. Hope to see you there and if there is anything you need , shoot me an email or give me a call so I can be sure to bring it, Dave.
Last weekend Holley and Dave headed out to Ancaster swapmeet. Leaving bright and early Sunday morning (can you call it bright if you leave before the sun's up?), it was a long and busy day for the two of them, in the smaller of the two buildings on the large fairgrounds. With only the two of us, it seemed that that wasn't enough to talk to all of the people there, both repeat customers and new buyers. It seemed like 1969 cars were the hot commodity, and we feel as if we sold out of almost every part we had for them, Chevelles, Camaros and Novas (or Acadians), it didn't seem to matter. And I guess we can be added to that list, as we were receiving a 1969 Acadian back home while we were there as well. Hopefully it doesn't need anything we sold to get it on the road, as we hope to have it ready this week. Overall it was a great swapmeet and we hope to see everyone in Rockton on May 10th! Holley Winter has a hold on us in Southwestern Ontario. We are not going to let it stop us from working on our project cars and trucks. Rodmasters swap meet in Ancaster Ontario is on Sunday March30 2014. Doors open at 8a.m. we'll be there with special deals to help with your new or existing project. Come on out and see what's new for 2014.
