I miss swap meets. I have found myself watching them on youtube. Pomona looks great but you can't buy anything. A couple of the guys doing the photography will take a good long picture of the cool cars and the for sale sign with the phone number but I am more looking for parts . or maybe just looking. even the fairgrounds food is looking good - kettle corn... corn dogs, fries. I think I miss the festive atmosphere and the excitement of the sounds and smells. just venting- Dave
Well the first swap meet of the year [for us] has come and gone.
It was great to see every one after the long hard winter.
It felt like the crowds were up - at least early in the day.
Roads were good for travel - for us.
Thanks to the host clubs for all the work they do.
Looking forward to the next one, Dave
Sunday December 8 2019 . We had a busy day at the swap meet at the International Center.
It was great to see everyone - sorry we couldn't visit more, Dave
We are gearing up for Bothwell swap meet August 9 and 10.
Be sure to give us a call if there is anything you want us to bring.
Stop by and say hello and tell us if you like the newsletter. thanks, Dave
Once again it rained early but not too hard at Paris .
It cleared up and the cars rolled in.
We had a great spot where we could watch , smell and hear all the cars rumble in when we weren't busy selling.
We always enjoy this show. Willy and the rest of the crew host a great show.
Rocton , Saturday was wet early but we dried out eventually and had a couple of nice hours.
Those who came, came to buy so we had a decent day but couldn't stay for Sunday.
Looks like we will be in Delaware this Sunday.
Planning on light loading the new and taking lots of used so if there is anything you hope I bring - give me a call. 519 326-9566.
This is a really cool venue selling in the pits and cruising around the track.
Hope to see you there. Dave.
Here is hoping for good weather Sunday.
We have been getting ready for the swap meet all week.
Hope to see you there.
Sunday February 10th was our first swap meet of the year.
Weather was great for February which made our drive enjoyable as we loaded up the 83 Suburban and headed off to Paris. Set up went smoothly and soon hundreds of curious shoppers were searching for the treasure to complete their old car, truck, or man cave.
We were pleased to talk to old friends and make some new ones.
Several people commented that they had not seen it so busy in years.
We sold a few parts, bought a couple of treasures and overall had a good day.
Our hosts, Speed Syndicate and Brant Street Rods Inc. were great and we appreciate the work they do to put this event on.
See you in Ancaster in March, Dave.
Ontario that is!
Sunday February 11th we're headed out to our first swap meet of 2018! We've been getting a couple calls becuase it didn't make the Calendar of events on one of the past Old Autos, but it's still on, we've called to check, and it can be found again in the Feb. 5th issue.
Looking forward to kicking off our swapmeet season and seeing everyone again. Hope everyone's had a great holiday season and is excited to get back working on their cars! Be sure to stop by and say Hi.
