Ontario that is!
Sunday February 11th we're headed out to our first swap meet of 2018! We've been getting a couple calls becuase it didn't make the Calendar of events on one of the past Old Autos, but it's still on, we've called to check, and it can be found again in the Feb. 5th issue. Looking forward to kicking off our swapmeet season and seeing everyone again. Hope everyone's had a great holiday season and is excited to get back working on their cars! Be sure to stop by and say Hi. Cheers! Here we are again - early August and time to get ready for Bothwell swap meet hosted by OLD AUTOS newspaper and all the great volunteers. we will be in the same spot i3,i4,i5. stop by and say hello. Pictures of last years display Rain and swap meets . It is inevitable but still not welcome. Eventually the sun came out and the cars pulled in and the people came and the day went late because it had started late. We always enjoy this show / swap meet - the hosts make us feel welcome and the laid back atmosphere is great. Looking forward to the fall meet September 10. indoor swap meet area car show area- just plain cool
Ancaster March 2017
We loaded up the burb and headed out Saturday evening so we could stop on our way to check out a potential future swap meet vehicle. It was awesome - It was a 1962 GMC short school bus. We both love the idea of having such an unique ride but were intimidated by the thought of driving it regular. We also checked out a 1955 Cameo pickup - awesome as well but not really a swap meet hauler. The swap meet Sunday was busy and it was great to see old friends - even if it was brief. Looking forward to Woodstock swap this weekend the 9th and Ancaster April on the 30th. Hope to see you there, Dave Our Last swap meet was back in December at the International Center.
Now, in the New Year we are gearing up for the Brant Street Rods swap meet in Paris on February 12th. Hope to see you there and be sure to call ahead so we bring what you need. We at Dave's Custom Cars will be vending at, The Waterdown Car Show. This is the new name of The Waterdown Swap Meet, the original car show started 40 years ago by Harold Watson and friends. It has had a few locations in the past but has always been near Waterdown, Ontario.
We hope to see you in Rockton at the Fairgrounds, Rockton, Ontario The Unfinished Nationals guys hosted an automotive swap meet at the fairgrounds Paris on Sept.11 2016. Up against Barrie is tough, but the weather co operated and made for a well attended outdoor meet. The vendors indoors seemed to be doing well also. We just might have to make this an annual event for Dave's Custom CArs.
It is just over a week away from Bothwell 2016.
Once again we will be in spots I3, 4 and 5. Stop by and say hello . If there is anything you are hoping to pick up that weekend give us a call or send an email and we will be sure to bring it. Our look will be a little different this year - we will be driving our 49 Chevy truck again and using the square body suburban. Also our new canopy is red instead of white. Hope to see you there, Dave Yesterday was the 2016 Paris Unfinished Nationals.
Once again Willy and the guys hosted an outstanding event with dozens of vendors with quality stuff and hundreds of cars to inspire an awe. I came home motivated to work on our projects with the hopes we could drive something different next year. The Spring Automotive swap meets in Ancaster Ontario were busy with vendors and spectators. March 27 hosted by Rodmasters Car Club and April 24 hosted by Road Runners Car Club. we have been vendors at these meets for many years and it is always nice to see regular customers and meet many new ones. We at Dave's Custom Cars appreciate the support we get from the people in and around Ancaster. We hope to continue to provide parts and service to all automotive enthusiasts whether you are restoring a classic or customizing a hotrod.
