Sunday was a gorgeous day weather wise for an outdoor swap meet. Colonel Talbot Road or Highway 4 was crawling with vendors, spectators and old cars. We arrived in Lambeth (or London as it is now considered part of) about 2 minutes after 7a.m and we got the last vendor spot. We woke up at 4a.m in order to get there by 7. A long day but a productive one. There were more vendors than I have ever seen a nice selection of used and new parts for all makes and the visiting crowd was equally as busy.
It is always nice to see many of our friends stop by and give us an update on their vehicle. If they buy one more piece to add to their project all the better. There are rumours going around that the Lambeth swap meet may not be there next year. I've been told there will be one Sept.20 2009 but it may be the last. Something to do about permits or insurance?? If anyone has any information, please let us know. Lambeth is a tradition amongst rodders and restorers and it will be a shame to see the swap dissapear. There aren't any major swap meets on our calander until Bothwell in August. Father's Day Sunday there is a nice car show at Pinafore Park in St. Thomas Ontario. The park is a beautiful setting to bring the family in the old car and chill out in the shade. We are not setting up our full display but we can bring a few parts for people who are waiting.
