I Can't seem to find a Henry J to dream about lately so substitute cars get more attention. Anglias, Willys, Topolinos, are all common Gasser platforms. but the Crosley is pretty rare. And a Crosley longroof - ironic but everything is relative - that would be interesting.
1948 Crosley 2 door wagon One of the most confusing things the automakers have ever done is part year model changes. The 1964 and a half Mustang is probably the most famous 1/2 year car but it wasn't a model change - it was a new model introduction. Well in 1955 Chevrolet introduced their new car : 150, 210 and Bel Air. The changes were many and industry changing - 12 volt electrical system, V8 engine, new front suspension . All this is and was great but the poor truck was a left over 54 at the start of the model year and then part way through they introduced the second series 1955 truck. It was and is great but the confusion remains. Anyway I like this truck 55 short box
So I guess my friend Tom was snow shoeing in Canmore last week.
I wonder if this 1929 Model A Ford has snow tires on it. It sure looks like a great starter and the price reflects the geography. I have a nice 327, 9" rear end, auto, steel wheels, ... Wonder when the Flames home opener is - might as well dream big. Not exactly how I would build it but still way cool.
1966 Caprice Wagon I passed up a 67 Caprice wagon a while back because I liked it but didn't love it enough to part with something else to get it. Sometimes I think I should have made it happen - especially when you see one done and driving. I would probable go small block - 327 - 700r4- ralley wheels - ... Advertising on the side of your old truck is cool. If you have a long name you need a bigger billboard - what would be cooler than a
1950 GMC panel. This one looks real cool. I should get it and park it by the road so people don't miss my driveway. It has been a while since I have seen an affordable Nova project car within a day's drive but tonight I think I might have found one... or two. It use to be you could pick up a Nova parts car for $400 and a builder for $1200. Lately parts cars are $1000 and projects are $2500. Well hello Craig's list. 2 1971 chevy novas
I found another 58 Buick, this one is a 2 door post car. Restored a hardtop is more desirable, Customized ,the sedan will work just fine.
Nailhead, looks solid, bank loan to pay the chrome shop, bag it and have a way cool ride. 1958 Buick When Chevrolet introduced the Chevy 2 in 1962 it was an economy car and the sports car - muscle car stuff was years away. The great thing is that the performance stuff came before they changed platforms and GM is really good about interchange - in other words the 6 comes out easy and the built small block goes in easy too. Add the drop top and you have a sweet ride. Today's pick looks like a straight forward project with great reward - both in pleasure and value. 1963 Chevrolet Nova Convertible
84-88 Monte Carlo SS . these were my favourite performance car of that era. We had a tired blue winter beater a while back and it was fun to drive, held the whole family and hockey equipment will fit in the trunk. As the weather turns from summer to fall , what to drive this winter looms - are these cars too collectable to use for a winter beater now? This find looks affordable but would it be dependable?
86 monte carlo SS Or Trade - always gets my attention , especially when they are looking for something I have and am considering parting with. So what would you do, I have been looking at 70-72 Monte Carlos for a while. I have seen some pretty rough ones, did well parting one out and have built one in my head several times. If this one had buckets, console it would be a no brainer - now we will have to give it some serious consideration. 1971 Monte Carlo
