One of the most confusing things the automakers have ever done is part year model changes.  The 1964 and a half Mustang is probably the most famous 1/2 year car but it wasn't a model change  - it was a new model introduction.  Well in 1955 Chevrolet introduced their new car :  150, 210 and Bel Air.  The changes were many and industry changing - 12 volt electrical system, V8 engine, new front suspension .  All this is and was great but the poor truck was a  left over 54 at the start of the model year and then part way through they introduced the second series 1955 truck.  It was and is great but the confusion remains.  Anyway I like this truck  55 short box
