another L88 hood scoop

Back in high school, every model kit I built or car I doodled had an L88 hood scoop.  Sometime ago they went out of fashion.  Are they making a comeback? Are people tired of every car and truck having a cowl hood?  Tonight I came across a 1972 Camaro.  It has an L88 hood scoop, Corvette  ralley wheels, and a start at a split bumper conversion.
