I must have 49-54 Chevy fever real bad because tonight I share a 4 door. This car looks to be in great shape .
The 49 4 door has great styling shave the back door handles and you have to look twice to see it is a 4 door.
Got to go low with this style, wide whites, maybe split manifold 6 or mild small block.
Budget would Mexican blanket interior or if money permits an updated mohair would be nice
from the pictures the paint looks presentable .
Somewhere around New Years I decided that if I ever wanted to get my 49 Buick finished I should stop distracting myself with all the other cars I wish I could build and focus on the ones I already have.
Well maybe it is the extreme cold outside and the fact that I can't work on the 49 where it is but I am dreaming again and I think I have some residual dream cars to share with you.
So instead of almost daily let's go to a couple a week and we will start right now.

I hope you are not getting tired of looking at 49-52 Chevrolet cars because we found another one. At family activities over the Holidays we reminisce and learn new things. I have a relative who drives truck. He now has a regular run to Winnipeg. That makes it seem a lot closer. Now he always has a return load so that means looking for something I could drive back. We have a 1968 Chevrolet Chevy 11 Nova project in the stable. Plans are to build a nice street car that can make a few passes at the track as well. Progress is slow. I am always looking for one that is closer to being done to speed up the process. Today I came across this one : 1968 Nova. It is hard to tell if it is any better than ours and it is a good road trip away but I would like to go see it.
When I was in High school my girlfriend, now wife, bought me a slot car track for Christmas. We had hour and hours of fun with it over the years . My friends would come over and we would race and visit and have a good time. Well times change and I no longer had a place to keep it set up so away in a box it went. When the kids were little we played with it a little. So when I saw this custom speedway set up today it brought back a lot of memories.
My understanding is that pro street style has passed but true drag car kept barely street legal is still cool - extra point with times still on the window. We are into 64 Impalas right now and a low rider patina rag and a full on hardtop drag car would make a killer combination.

Don't you hate it when the wind picks up and you can hear the tarp blowing. You know the damage the rain can do in minutes .
If it happens to someone else and the damage isn't too serious it can make for a great deal. I might try to take a look at this one over the holidays. A 49-52 Chevy coupe has been on my list. Actually I drove over 3 hours to look at one several years ago, made an offer, got turned down and bought a 51 Buick instead - in hindsight it was a good deal for me - the Buick was a better car than the chevy and the road trip was great. 1949 Chevrolet coupe
