SUNDAY OCTOBER 26 was a cool but sunny day and the beautiful Ancaster Fairgrounds was filled with activity.
I managed to sneak away from selling and take a few pictures of the cars in the show area.

Sunday September 28 2025 the Ruthven Apple Festival Car Show was filled to the edges with beautiful examples of classic, custom and performance cars and trucks.
As well as the car show the Apple Festival had craft vendors, food trucks, produce and flower vendors and live entertainment. They announced registration of 500 plus cars. I took some pictures late in the day after some had left but it was a great show. Rocton September 2025
Friday night we sat around the fire burning in the vintage chimnea in front of a vintage travel trailer and we reminded ourselves of the evolution of the Waterdown Swap Meet. From Decades ago at the park in downtown Waterdown where the swap meet was crowded and the car show required a good parking brake, to the soccer fields, and now to the Rocton Fair grounds, shopping and showing has ridden the waves of change. This year the weather was sunny but breezy and the turn out was one of the best in a while. There were vendors in every field with a great variety of parts. There were show cars way up the back field, in the middle and up by the road in the front field. It was quite a sight to see. Here are some pictures. Here are some pictures that Andrew took at Heritage village.
Good turn out and a wide variety of cars. BOTHWELL 2025
Here are some pictures of our swap meet area at Bothwell. I did not get a chance to go off with the camera. SUNDAY JUNE 29 2025: DOWNTOWN WHEATLEY
Fish Festival 2025 was filled with many successful events and Sunday afternoon the Downtown was filled with cars for the car show. "Swag Bags" were given out to those who arrived early enough and there was a point in the day where we weren't sure where we would park the next couple of cars as space was getting limited but it was a great day. Thanks to all who volunteered and special thanks to the organizing committee who worked so hard the whole event. The hot weather hit June 21st this year but it was at least 10 degrees cooler in Erieau - even with all the Hot Cars cruising the Boulevard. We took the Buick and parked it in the shade and had a great weekend.
Here are a few pictures. 10 years ago we started hosting a car show for the residents of the Sunparlor Home in Leamington. It serves the county of Essex . The response has been great, the support of the community, the staffs and executives and volunteers all make for a rewarding experience.
This year we filled the parking lots with cars and the residents had a great morning. The car owners were treated to coffee and muffins in the morning and hot dogs and hamburgers before the show ended. The musical entertainment was great as well. Here are some pictures I took. Heritage Village welcomed vendors and show cars to the beautiful but damp grounds June 8 2025.
It threatened rain but never did and it was a very pleasant day. It had rained earlier in the week and there was still evidence of the rain. Here are some pictures I took. The weather was bright and sunny but the wind was cold. The Flamboro Speedway was filled with show cars and the pits were full of vendors on Sunday June 1st 2025. I snuck away from the tables and took a few pictures. |
Car Show CoverageWe often take the picture of cars: that interest us, catch our eye, we wish we could own, and are easy to shoot. We don't all have a lot of patience for taking the best pictures.
