The smoke cleared and the temperature came down and it was a beautiful day so we jumper in the Wildcat and went to the Merlin Legion Car, Truck, Bike and Tractor show.
It was a great day. Here are a few pictures we took.

We go to quite a few car shows but Erieau has to be one of the best locations -
lots of shade, great food , ice cream and beverages all along the boulevard. Sunday June 28 2026 was a beautiful day for a short cruise to Erieau to enjoy the car show. Here are a few pictures I took before the battery in my camera went dead. Wheatley Fish Festival 2026
Wheatley was the place to be the last weekend of June this year. The committee outdid themselves with the variety of activities for the whole family and the local car community came out to support it in record numbers. Cars and Trucks filled the streets of downtown Wheatley and thousands of appreciative spectators came to see them, listen to the band and enjoy the vendors and merchants selling their wares. The downtown restaurants and the invited food trucks were overflowing with customers. Here are some pictures I took: June 19 2026, Sunparlor Home, Leamington
As a pre Father's Day treat for the residents our local Car Community brought out their cars. The beautiful cars provide an activity that sparks a lot of memories and everyone looks forward to it for days. This year we had great weather and a turnout that filled the lot. Thanks to all that came out and to the staff and administration for making this all possible. Here are some pictures: June 7 2026 Heritage Village
Spring and fall every year we load up with a variety of parts and often an old car or truck and make the short trip to Heritage Village between Essex and Harrow. This year both Michelle and Holley could come along so I could see more cars and visit with more people. Holley had the camera for a while and I took some pictures too. Here are some of them. VANFEST 2026 Aylmer Ontario Springwater Conservation Area We have heard about this show for years and this year we not only had a van but had no other plans for the big day. Hundreds of Custom Vans and Trucks fill the campground starting as early as Tuesday. Saturday is the big day but there was lots going on Friday evening when we got there and it carried on into the night until the rain came. Even though the weatherman called for rain Saturday - he was wrong and it was hot, humid and sunny. The show field filled with vehicles and many more just hung out in the shady camping areas. Here are a few pictures we took. I know this is not the future. It is the 29th Vanfest -
Rockton Spring 2026
There was a wet but enthusiastic crowd at Rockton Saturday Morning. The weatherman warned us it was going to rain but we wouldn't let a little water slow us down. Here are a few pictures I took between the rain drops. March 2026 Ancaster swap meet.
The weather was cold but clear and people came to see what they could find. I heard about some rare parts that I had to check out so I ventured into the cold before it got too busy inside. Many vendors were set up but sitting in their trucks with the heat on. I took some pictures. There were even some hot rods there and I took a couple of pictures on my way by. SUNDAY OCTOBER 26 was a cool but sunny day and the beautiful Ancaster Fairgrounds was filled with activity.
I managed to sneak away from selling and take a few pictures of the cars in the show area. Sunday September 28 2025 the Ruthven Apple Festival Car Show was filled to the edges with beautiful examples of classic, custom and performance cars and trucks.
As well as the car show the Apple Festival had craft vendors, food trucks, produce and flower vendors and live entertainment. They announced registration of 500 plus cars. I took some pictures late in the day after some had left but it was a great show. |
Car Show CoverageWe often take the picture of cars: that interest us, catch our eye, we wish we could own, and are easy to shoot. We don't all have a lot of patience for taking the best pictures.
